Preserving Artistic Heritage. Creating Digital Heritage
Antique Pattern Library (APL), an online pattern library at http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org, provides scans of public domain crafts and design books for free, to anyone who wants to use them, under Creative Commons licensing.
Our objective is to preserve our craft heritage in our hands; scanning and preparing donated scans so they can be downloaded by users with limited bandwidth and internet connections, and printed easily for use by craftspeople.
Thank you for supporting the Antique Pattern Library
Your kind and generous donation for Antique Pattern Library will go towards web hosting and developing costs, preparing donated scans for upload and publication, and data input to keep the website information current and accurate.
New Media Arts Inc is a nonprofit organization tax exempt under IRC 501(c)(3). We greatly appreciate your donations, which may be tax deductible depending on your country and your tax situation.
Join Our Efforts>> Become a Volunteer!
If you would like to help us preserve these amazing patterns, become a volunteer! We need folks that are able to digitally clean images scanned from old documents. We do our best to provide you with the best digital copy of these historical pieces of culture and that means that many of our scans need a personal touch.
Any time you are able to offer to help our library expand is appreciated. Use the contact form below to leave a message for the project manager, Systke Wijnsma.
