NEW PUBLICATIONS
N-JS001 Collection Ullstein – Ouvrages au Crochet
Small nearly square booklet, 48 pages not including covers and advertisements, with basic crochet instructions, and not-so-basic crocheted lace, collars, handbags, jackets, filet crochet, hairpin lace, irish crochet, tunesian crochet, baby and childrens caps, shopping nets, and even a miser purse. Pattern sheet is missing.
This was originally a German language book, but was so popular that it has been translated in other languages, of which French was one.
Scans donated by Jacoba Sieders, edited by Sytske Wijnsma.
N-YS003 Four Miser Purses
Four so-called miser purses, three crocheted with beads, one sewn from plain fabric. All four have their two rings with which to close each end of the purse. The second purse is missing the ornament at one end. Two purses have beadwork on each end, different so the ends could be told apart by touch. The ends might contain different coin values, and different ends made mistakes less likely.
