Single sheet, handpainted pattern from what was probably a leporello. Publisher likely either Heinrich Kuehn or their successor Vereinigte Stickmuster Verlag. The design is a wide border with green leaves and salmon pink colored flowers.

Single sheet, handpainted pattern. Two narrow corner designs, nested together, not in opposing corners as is more usual. The background has been partially colored. Sloppy background painting, overlapping the actual pattern in many places. Published by Heinrich Kuehn or their successor Vereinigte Stickmuster Verlag.

E-CW001 Ecclesiastical valance with lilies and initial M
Hand embroidered valance, probably for a church. Lining has been taken out. Embroidery in gold and pink shades, outlined in black and pink couched chenille thread and gold cord, on gray green fabric.

E-CO006 Mary Bradshaw – 1843 sampler
Small sampler, wool on linen, with a moth-eaten alphabet at the top, symmetrical flowers and trees with birds in them, a basket of roses, and a poem: “The leaves are green the rose is red Here is my work when I am dead.” Mary Bradshaw aged 10 years 1843.

E-CO005 Rebecca Giddings – 1808 Gift Sampler to Mary Whyman
Sampler embroidered with wool and silk (judging from the gleam on the photographs) on linen. Top is an inscription with two potted flowers: A long farewell since we must part / Receive my fond adieu / Believe me Mary I oft shall sigh / And drop A tear for you. A floral border and then a symmetrical bottom part with trees, flowers, small animals, and an elaborate building on top of a hill, with trees with each its own bird at the side, and a vessel with a flame inside the building.

E-CO003 Ann Middlemiss – 1835 Sampler
Small sampler, wool on linen, with heavy damage (rodents most likely, moths eat the wool only). The sampler starts off with listing William & Betty Middlemiss / Anthony & Elizabeth Middlemiss / Martha Middlemiss (probably family members). Next two alphabets and one set of numbers between lines, and a text This Piece of work my friends may have when i am dead and in my grave, Ann Middlemiss aged 11 years 1835. The text runs through the right hand margin. The bottom part is a potted flower and two baskets of roses, and one crown at the right hand side. Possibly the sampler wasn’t finished.

Softcover stapled booklet, 40 pages not including covers. How to use a bead weaving loom, as well as patterns for necklace, collars, fobs, purses. Charts are included and some look suspiciously like Heinrich Kuehn charts (no acknowledgment though).
